Meet the Team
Bukola Abiola - Project Manager
Bukola brought her experience and expertise to the team as a Project Manager.
She is originally from Nigeria, having worked across the globe and moved to Fredericton with her husband and son in 2019 to study at UNB. Her family love it here in Fredericton and have decided to call it their new home.
Bukola believes in using her time and skills to make the world a better place. When the opportunity to join the iGenNB team came she was excited, because aligning with the vision was seamless.
Anita Newling - Project Coordinator
As Project Coordinator Anita was one of the first members of the team to connect with.
Anita is originally for the UK but has called Fredericton home for nearly 2 decades. She lives with her husband, 2 daughters and their bunny James.
In life and through her work as a nurse and educator Anita has always advocated for inclusivity, valuing everyone’s contribution to our community. She is delighted to have worked on the iGenNB team
Kathleen MacPhee - Social Worker
As the team Social Worker, Kathleen contacted participants at the outset of their participation with the project, and was available for the duration of their involvement.
Originally from Cape Breton, Kathleen has made Fredericton home for all of her adult life. With her adult children out on their own, she lives in Marysville with her husband and three cats. In addition to her work with iGenNB, Kathleen owns a private counselling practice.
Passionate about reducing social isolation amongst seniors and affordable housing for youth, Kathleen was happy to be a part of the iGenNB team.
Andrea Trenholm - Postdoctural Researcher
As the Postdoctoral Researcher from St. Thomas University on the team, Andrea contacted participants to discuss iGenNB’s research component and schedule interview conversations with them. Originally from Alberta and having grown up in Ontario, Andrea has called Fredericton home for over 12 years. She lives with her husband, her two small children, and her husky, Echo. As a social sciences researcher, Andrea is passionate about hearing people’s stories and believes that each individual carries important knowledge.
Aimée Foreman - Project Co-Lead
Aimée is Silvermark’s founder and CEO. As industry lead, and project co-lead for iGenNB, Aimée brought her expertise in service delivery across the public, private and non-profit sectors to the team. She led the creation of a guide to advance intergenerational living locally and to support other communities wanting to develop homesharing programs.
Improving the quality of life for older adults through connection, purpose and meaning is at the heart of all Silvermark projects. Aimée resides in New Maryland with her husband, two children and pet dog, all of whom feel fortunate to live just a few minutes away from both sets of grandparents.
Fiona Williams - Project Support
Fiona is an Associate with Silvermark. She brought her passion for safe affordable housing, social programming, and social work to the iGenNB project. She led collaborations directly with older adults to guide project outcomes. Fiona ensured the voice of lived experience was reflected in the program.
Fortunate to have lived in five provinces and three other countries, Fiona considers Fredericton her home after 15 years here. Fiona shares her home with her large cat, loves walking the City’s walking bridge with friends, and writes the biographies of friends and family.
