This course will be based at The Ville Cooperative in Marysville, near to the beautiful Nashwaak River. We will spend around half our time in a classroom setting, and the other half on excursions to meet with local experts and permaculture practitioners within a short distance from Fredericton. This course will offer a holistic picture of the foundational principles of permaculture design and explore ways in which we can apply these design methods in the real world. We will explore ‘whole systems’ design approaches to issues within our communities and discuss, co-create and collaborate ways in which we can use these tools in our own lives. Our goal will be to have our students well on their way to becoming agents of positive change in New Brunswick, the Maritimes and across Canada.
This course is broken up into five modules. This is designed in a way that allows our students to digest the high volumes of information and better fit the training into their work and family schedules. Locations are still TDB.
