New Lunch & Learn Series (Summer 2020)
Lunch and Learn Workshops will begin June 16. Every Tuesday we'll be hosting lunch and learns which you'll be able to join in person or online! Each class is $10 to attend, with both in person & online availability.
Over the spring of 2020, we hosted our first online sessions for Basic Gardening Skills and Wildcrafting to great success. We decided to create a series of lunch and learn sessions in order to continue sharing our knowledge on agriculture, sustainability and food security with the community. Testimonies from our class participants can be found below.
Basic Gardening Skills participants:
"I really enjoyed the Basic Gardening course offered online at The Ville. As a complete newbie to gardening, I found it very informative and appreciated the supportive atmosphere and ebooks. I look forward to other course offerings."
"I really appreciated the knowledge sharing from each of the presenters and from the group of participants. I learned a lot and I can already see my garden growing in leaps and bounds. Thanks for the very enjoyable experience."
"The instructors were able to interact with the class through Zoom and provide instruction to new and long-standing gardeners that encouraged us to shorten the path from garden to dinner table. I hope to participate in more classes offered by the Ville."
"Thoroughly fantastic experience. I can't recommend (the instructors) enough - more than passionate about the subject and it shows. I would recommend this course to anyone interested in an introduction to the naturally occurring plants in New Brunswick and their uses."
"Loved the opportunity to learn about my local area's flora and fauna. Feeling more confident to get out in my area and find/identify useful plants! Hoping for more learning opportunities with the Ville." - Diane
